Diamantina R. Candela

Diamantina R. Candela, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 19, 2023 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on March 22, 1936 in San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt was humble, kind and loving. She ALWAYS put everyone’s needs ahead of hers. She was a warrior in prayer and left a legacy of standing firm on God’s word and his promises. She showed Gods love through her life everyday. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved being outside taking care of her plants. She was known for her famous (papas con chile) and was definitely the best cook. She always cooked for everyone, so if you ever dropped by to visit there was always food to eat. She lived a simple life BUT made a strong impact on family and friends. She will truly be missed but we know she is in celebration with our Creator. Te amamos mami. Preceding her in death were her parents, Maria Isabel Cruz and Julian Rodriguez; brother, Juan Rodriguez; grandmothers: Elena Mendez Diaz, and Micaela Villa; Family members left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 72 years, Elias Candela Chavez; children: Elias Candela Jr. and wife Lorena Duran, Armando Candela, Daniel Candela and wife, Laurie Candela; daughters-in-law: Maria Luisa Palomares and Maricela Candela; siblings: Maria A. Rodriguez, Onofre Rodriguez, Candido Rodriguez, and Magdaleno Rodriguez; grandparents: Onofre Rodriguez, and Hilario Cruz; grandchildren: Juan Palomares, Joseph Palomares, Saul Palomares, Diana Palomares, Isabel Candela Rivero, Alexandria Candela, Bryanna Candela, Kayla Candela, Eliana Candela, Guadalupe Candela, Jessica Candela, Anthony Candela; great grandchildren: Shanadoa Palomares, Chloe Palomares, Jesus Rodolfo Hernandez, Georgina Hernandez, Ezra Noel Soto, Lorenzo Levrie, Gabriel Alexander Garcia, Leah Ellie Rivero, and Damian Enzo Rivero. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. A Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
