Gregorio "Goyo" S. Garcia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gregorio "Goyo" S. Garcia, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2022 here in Del Rio. He was born on September 5, 1948 in Del Rio. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Valerie Garcia; parents, Eusebia and Guadalupe Garcia; and mother/father-in-law: Elida and Manuel Rivera; Family members left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 52 years, Romelia Garcia of Del Rio; children: Gregorio Garcia Jr. of San Antonio and Crissy Garcia of Del Rio; siblings: "Cuca" Rodriguez and husband Maleno Rodriguez of Del Rio, Delia Torres and husband Fred Torres of Euless, TX, and Guadalupe Garcia Jr. and wife Sol Garcia of Del Rio; grandchildren: Greg Jalen Garcia, Fabian Escalante Jr., Cris Cruz Escalante, and Jennifer Garcia; Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. Full military honors will be rendered by the United States Army and the Jesus M. Limones Jr. Post #595 American Legion Honor Guard at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, located at 206 W. Greenwood St. Following the service, Gregorio's final wishes were to be cremated. Pallbearers will be: Luis Rodriguez, Oselio Garcia, Fabian Escalante Jr., Greg Jaylen Garcia, Rogelio Bejarano, and Ruben Flores The Garcia family will be having a reception after the church service at their residence, located at 101 Central St. Everyone is welcomed to attend.
