Elvira Beltran Valdez

Elvira Beltran Valdez, age 92, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, in Del Rio. She was born October 15, 1921, in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, to Adolfo Beltran and Raquel Sanchez Beltran. She was preceded in death by daughter, Luz Elena Almaraz, and son-in-law, Diego Martin Almaraz; son, Armando Segovia; and by her daughter-in-law, Leticia Segovia. Elvira is survived by her sons, Javier Segovia and Homero Valdez (wife Sandra), and by her daughter, Sandra Hernandez (husband Jose). Her grandchildren are: Mercedes Segovia, Cindy Uranga, Gabriela Hernandez, Juan Javier Segovia, LuzElena Casarez, Homero Valdez, Jr., Daniela Yvette Valdez, Adrian Valdez, Joshua Valdez, Susana Almaraz, Diego Almaraz, Jr., Zobeida Perry, Marcos Segovia, Sagrario Segovia, Alejandra Segovia, and Armando Segovia. Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 2, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Trinity Mortuary Chapel. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
