Sonia Y. Santana

Sonia Y. Santana, age 40, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2024 here in Del Rio. She was born on August 2, 1984 in French Camp, California. Sonia liked listening to music, she loved to dance and she enjoyed to be around her family. Whenever we had a family gathering, she would be quick to hit the dance floor with who ever was adventurous enough to keep up with her. Sonia always expressed her love and affection, she always had enough hugs and kisses to go around. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality, contagious smile and her kind, humble spirit. She had a soul of a child and an innocence that few people have. She will be forever missed and we will always love her. She will always be a part of us and will forever live in our hearts. A Sonia le gustaba escuchar música, le encantaba bailar y disfrutaba estar con su familia. Cada vez que teníamos una reunión familiar, ella rápidamente salía a la pista de baile con quien fuera lo suficientemente aventurero como para seguirle el ritmo. Sonia siempre expresaba su amor y cariño, siempre tenía suficientes abrazos y besos para todos. Será recordada por su personalidad alegre, su sonrisa contagiosa y su espíritu amable y humilde. Siempre fue muy cariñosa. Tenía alma de niña y una inocencia que pocas personas tienen. La extrañaremos por siempre y siempre la amaremos. Ella siempre será parte de nosotros y vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones. Preceding her in death was her Grandpa, Ramon Treviño; great grandparents, Cecilia and Jesus Treviño; great grandparents: Maria and Celedonio Campos; Family members left to cherish her memory include her son, Geovani Santana; mother, Maria Cecilia Treviño of Del Rio; grandmother, Margarita Treviño of Del Rio; aunt, Sandra Treviño of Del Rio; sisters: Cecilia Riojas, Nora E. Perez, Naila Treviño,, Feliza Santana, and Perla Treviño, all of Del Rio; Sonia is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. A Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. A Chapel Service is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
