Alicia Cura

Alicia Cura, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family, here in Del Rio. She was born in Frontera, Coahuila, Mexico on July 29, 1933. Preceding her in death was her husband of 73 years, Francisco Cura; children, Francisco Cura Jr., Hector Cura, and Armando Cura; grandson, Orlando Rodriguez; Surviving family members include her children: Dalila Padilla and husband Enrique of Del Rio, Carlos Cura and wife Cecilia of Garland, TX, Martha Cura de Rodriguez and late husband Roque of Juarez, N.L., Mexico, and Fernando Cura and wife Reyna of Del Rio; Alicia is also survived by her siblings, nephews/nieces, and numerous grandchildren/great grandchildren/great-great grandchildren, and other close relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Devotion. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
